The piece is hallmarked inside the lid "Made in Italy"; and measures approximately 1 1/2 inches in length by 1 inch in width, and is 5/8th inches in height.

It's a gold tone ornate box with an exquisite hand painted courting portrait. The portrait is covered in glass; and is in excellent condition with no damage.

The piece closes securely to hold your pills, and has a gorgeous repousse pattern around the entire piece.
